Spring - The Season of Renewal

From the Desk of Jacqui MacNeill, Escents CEO & Founder

Spring - the season of renewal is here. Green is back, grey is out. Abundant in nature, green signifies growth and health. Days are now longer, the air is crisp and clean. During winter, life for me can become customary. Creativity wanes. What I reach for during these times is a tall glass of new perspective to see life's magic more clearly. For me, the tall glass is any product or aroma from the Fresh Collection.

I designed The Fresh Collection using powerful essential oils and Aromas Blends that restore and give clarity. I use these aromas anytime, at any moment to positively transform my mood, shift my perspective and rejuvenate my outlook. Aromas in this Collection revive and quench my thirst for life by making me feel renewed and creative, full of wonder again. The first aroma in the Collection and the most popular is Oasis, then Aqua, followed by Green Tea, Coast, Boost and Polar. In addition to these scents, the Revitalizing Blend goes into our Foot and Leg line and the Stimulate Blend goes into our hair line. All of these products are designed using meticulously selected botanicals, oils and essences.

How I Get Ready for Spring - Steps to a Deluxe Home Pedicure

It all starts with the feet. If my feet are fresh, ready to 'be exposed', my mind follows.

  • remove existing nail polish by using cotton dipped in natural nail polish remover
  • soak feet for 10-15 minutes in warm water containing Oasis Bath and Foot Salts
  • while wet, apply a generous amount of Revitalizing Foot Scrub all over feet, heels and legs to remove dead skin; cooling Eucalyptus and Peppermint invigorates and restores
  • smoothen / scrape clean feet with a foot file or a pumice stone
  • rinse and dry feet
  • trim toe nails and push back cuticles
  • massage feet and legs with Revitalizing Foot & Leg Lotion, then wrap feet with moisturizing socks for at least 15 minutes (can be also used overnight)
  • put onto feet, toe separators or sandles with toe separators
  • apply colored nail polish to match mood; put clear top coat polish on top to secure color and let dry for 20 min.

Whenever my feet and legs need refreshing, are tired or achy I spray on all-natural Revitalizing Foot & Leg Mist .Then I put on my open toed shoes, carry my spring tote and head out the door!
