Theraskin FAQs What are the 3 basic steps to cleanse the face?
Step 1:
Cleanse the face in the morning and evening with a cleanser formulated
for your skin type to remove makeup and impurities that the skin
accumulates during the day.
Step 2: Rehydrate the skin with a toner to balance skin’s ph and to prepare skin for nourishment.
Step 3: Nourish skin with a moisturizer.
What does the toner do to your skin and when should I use it? The
Toner rehydrates and balances the ph of the skin, getting it ready to
absorb any nutrient. Also, the toner removes any excess dirt, oil or
residue that may be left over from the cleanser. It should be used
immediately after cleansing while skin is still moist and preferably
with a cotton pad.
I usually use the toner as a make up remover is that correct? The
toner is not a make up remover. What are you doing here is spreading
the pollutants and stimulating production of bacteria around your face.
It is best to cleanse your face before using a toner.
Can I use the Ultimate scrub if I have sensitive skin? We
would recommend testing it first, using the tips of fingers, massage
skin in circular motions without applying pressure. If you don’t have
any problems, use it, but no more than once a week.
What should I use during the day? A light fluid or a rich crème? It
depends on your skin type which crème you should use during the day;
oily and acne prone skin types should be using oil free to light fluids
and those with normal, dry and sensitive skin should be using proper
hydrators during the day to keep moisture levels up.
Night
crèmes should be used for dry, sensitive and mature types. Normal skin
needs the same hydration as used during the day. Oily skin should be
using spot/acne treatments in the evening.
Why is the Solar Defender with SPF 30 so expensive? The
Solar Defender is one of the most powerful sun protectors on the market
and the percentage of the active ingredients (Octioxate7.5%, and zinc
oxide 10.05) give us the confidence to say that every penny that you
invest on it is worth it.
How often should I use a masque? A
masque treatment should be used at least once a week or every time you
want to achieve a fresh and glamorous healthy glow. It should be
accompanied with an exfoliant for best results. Cleanse face first,
then exfoliate and then a mask can be applied. This allows for the best
absorption possible getting the most out of your mask. Finish with a
toner, serum, eye nourishment and hydrator.
Why should I cleanse my face at night? To
cleanse your face especially during the night is extremely important to
remove all the pollutants and impurities than skin accumulates during
the day.
How do I know the difference between sensitive and normal skin? Sensitive
skin reacts to product as well as weather. Sensitive skin burns in the
sun, turns red with wind exposure and can have red blotches in the
morning. Normal skin can still be affected by sun and wind but not in
the irritated way that someone with sensitive skin would.
The Pure and Simple Cleansing lotion is a cleanser, toner and make-up remover in one. Do I still need a toner on top of that? It’s
always recommended to use a toner, even though the cleanser has a toner
in it. A toner removes left over cleanser on the skin, and tightens the
pores, but most importantly, it helps the next product you put on your
skin penetrate into your skin to get the full benefit. It is best to
use a gentler toner such as a hydrosol after this product.
I have a normal skin type but would like to try the soothing gel masque, is that ok to try? Yes.
You can mix and match products for some skin types. It is always a good
idea to spot try it in a small area before you use it. Sensitive skin
type should not try anything for an oily or acne prone skin. Normal skin
that is leaning towards the oilier side can use either a gelle or clay
masque. Normal skin that is leaning towards the dry side should only
use gelle masques.
The firming eye gel makes my eyes water! With
any eye gel, apply it half an inch under the eye lid. Your skin under
your eye lid is very sensitive and can make your eyes water when you put
it to close to the eye itself. This product contains gluten and should
be avoided by people with celiac disease.
Does the make-up remover also remove water proof make-up? Yes
it does. The make-up remover is great to remove all make-up including
waterproof. Another amazing thing about the make-up remover is that it
also works as a conditioner for the eye lashes. Hold a cotton pad with
remover on your eye for a few seconds before gently wiping clean, this
will help break down the makeup.
Is Theraskin organic? How natural is it? Our
products, although not all organic, contain plant ingredients and 100%
pure essential oils in place of irritating fragrances.
Why are there so many scary looking ingredients? They’re
actually all plant and mineral based. Sometimes they have long names
when they’re one or two steps away from their original forms. Even
lavender has a scary name when its proper latin name is used! Lavendula
Angustofolia looks uncommon to most people unless you are an
aromatherapist or actively study ingredients!
