Aromatherapy Using Essential Oils for Labour Pain Relief

Essential oils can be very helpful in relieving pain and helping the expectant mother to relax in all stages of labour. They are a natural way to face labour pain without  having to rely on drugs.

Essential Oil Recipes for Labour Pain Relief

We have two recipes for essential oil pain relief during labour: Labour Aromatherapy Blend No. 1 and Labour Aromatherapy Blend No. 2. Recipe No. 1 is our top recommendation containing lavender, geranium, rose, clary sage and jasmine. Recipe No. 2, with lemon, clary sage and jasmine, has a milder scent for women who are particularly sensitive to smells during pregnancy.

Essential Oil Bath & Body Care for Labor Pain Relief

During the early stages of labour, many doctors welcome the idea of the mother-to-be enjoying a soothing bath. The warmth of the water eases the body allowing for muscle relaxation and blood flow. The experience can be enhanced using lavender bath products like our Lavender Bath Bomb or Lavender Bath Salts.

Other Ways to Use Essential Oils for Wellness during Labor

Other natural treatments that can be used during labour include the ever-soothing Sleep Roll-on or Sleep Spray Mist. These products can help relax and focus the user, and get much needed rest during the early stages of labour. We also have a variety of aromatherapy spray mists that can be used for different effects. Our Lavender Spray Mist to improves air quality and help relax the expectant mother. Or try our Delivery Room Essential Oil Mist No. 1 recipe to create a light, airy atomsphere and our Delivery Room Essential Oil Mist No. 2 recipe for a grounded, earthy effect.
