Aromatherapy Using Essential Oils for Hemorrhoids / Varicose Veins Essential oils can be used as an effective, natural way of treating hemorrhoids and varicose veins. Hemorrhoids and varicose veins are conditions that result from dilated veins, which means their treatment and care are the same. Pregnant women are more susceptible to both conditions, but they can happen to anyone. Below are a few ways to use essential oils to treat these conditions.
Topical Essential Oil Treatments for Hemorrhoids / Varicose Veins A number of essential oils have been identified as being effective for treatment of hemorrhoids and varicose veins including: geranium, chamomile blue, peppermint, cypress, frankincense, juniper berry, lavender, lemon, patchouli, clary sage, ginger, and eucalyptus. Our Hemorrhoids / Varicose Veins Essential Oil Treatment recipe is an effective blend that can be used directly on affected areas to both treat these conditions and prevent their occurrence. Also, it may sound strange, but our Arthritis, Joint & Muscle Pain Treatment (with cypress & eucalyptus) is effective at increasing circulation, reducing pain & inflammation, and relieving itchiness of hemorrhoids. For on-the-go spot treatments, try our Headache Relief Aromatherapy Roll-on (with peppermint & lavender). If varicose veins or hemorrhoids reach the point at which the skin breaks and ulcers form, apply a compress of lavender oil.
Essential Oil Bath & Body Care for Hemorrhoids / Varicose Veins
The recipe listed above can also be added to your bath water to get relief while you bathe. Alternatively, you can try our Muscle Relief Bath Salts or Muscle Relief Bath & Massage Oil (with cypress and peppermint), our Relaxation Bath Bomb or Relaxation Bath & Massage Oil (with lavender and geranium) or any of our lavender bath & shower products. You can also simply add
10 drops of any of the essential oils listed here, or combine
them with our unscented bath and massage oil or unscented bath and shower gel.
