Escents, in support and respect for our planet and future generations, is formally announcing its intention to transform itself through a variety of different activities into a "green and eco-friendly" company.
There are three major reasons why Escents is increasing our existing commitment for a greener world:
- we believe that being eco-friendly is critical to future generations
- we desire to be socially responsible in support of the communities we live in
- our customers value and protect the earth around them
Escents is well on its way to becoming more intentional as an earth-friendly, cruelty-free company which makes premium products that define moods. Our green initiatives going forward will formalize existing green activities at Escents but also launch new ones beginning immediately. Over the next year you will see some of our marketing materials promoting our position on this important topic. It will be more encompassing than just our product but also in how we conduct ourselves in head office and in our stores.
Some of the initiatives that Escents has agreed on include:
- Source products that are biodegradable, don't use petroleum, and are cruelty-free
- Use minimal packaging but where required, source material that comes from recycled cardboard
- Offer re-fills for the Reed Diffusers to reduce glass waste
- Offer re-fills for the Soy Jar Candles to reduce glass waste
- Work with our partners in Taiwan to bring in "green" bags. Make Escents retail stores 'plastic bag free'
- Take part in upcoming "green" trade shows like Epic Sustainability and Green Living
As Escents moves forward, the goal of the product development team is to maximize the content of natural ingredients in all of our formulations. A testament to this commitment is the recent launch of two organic collections, Baby Soothe and Matcha Tea. Our customers are increasingly interested in natural and organic alternatives and we're listening!
