Aromatherapy Using Essential Oils for Depression

Everyone suffers from depression once in awhile, whether it's from stress, life situations, or biological reasons. Aromatherapy can help temper depression emotions, using essential oils that have anti-depressant and/or emotional balancing properties. Below are some ways of using essential oils to help with depression.

Essential Oils & Air Therapy for Depression

A number of essential oils are considered effective anti-depressants, including: neroli, bergamot, sweet orange, grapefruit, geranium, clary sage, tea tree, rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, lavender, and spruce. A few of our essential oil blends combine some of these oils, making effective choices for managing depression, including: Stress Relief, Love, Rejuvenating, Lavender Meadow, Cheer, Blue WaterVerve, and Wild Gardenia. Using any of these in an aromatherapy diffuser is a good way to help when you're feeling depressed.

Essential Oil Bath & Body Care for Depression

Taking time to pamper yourself and feel good can help minimize depression, especially if you combine this time-outs with the use of the right essential oils. Our Love bath and body product collection and Rejuvenating bath and body collection are a good choices for this. We also have a Stress Relief bath bomb. Alternatively, you can add 10 drops of any of the essential oils and blends suggested here directly to your bath, or combine them with our unscented bath and massage oil, unscented body salt scrub or any of our unscented body products.

100% Natural Wellness Solutions for Depression

There are four aromatherapy roll-ons that can be effective, on-the-go treatments for depression. These include our Feminine Cycles Roll-On , Stress Relief Roll-on, Rejuvenating Roll-on, and our Love Roll-on. Our Rejuvenating Spray Mist is also a good option. Alternatively, you can add a 1-2 drops of any of the essential oils listed here to a tissue and breathe into it deeply. Or you can create your on on-the-go solution adding any of the above essential oils or blends to our unscented roll-on or our unscented spray mist. Try our Anti-Depressant Roll-On Recipe.
