Treating Cuts & Wounds with Essential Oils
Essential oils can be a good way to help heal cuts or wounds
faster. If there is severe bleeding, first apply direct pressure to the
wound until the bleeding stops. The wound should then be cleaned with
plain water before treating with essential oil wound treatments.
Initial Treatment of Cuts or Wounds with Essential Oils For minor surface cuts and wounds, apply 1 – 2 drops of lavender oil or tea tree oil
directly on the wound after it has been cleaned with plain water. Apply
gentle pressure with a clean, sterile cloth (like gauze) until bleeding
stops. Both of these essential oils help speed healing, kill germs, and
reduce pain.
