Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil Eucalyptus oil comes from the eucalyptus tree, a beautiful, tall evergreen that can grow up to 90 metres high (270 ft). The young trees have oval bluish-green leaves while the mature trees develop long, narrow, yellowish leaves, creamy-white flowers and a smooth, pale grey bark. Eucalyptus essential oil helps to balance emotions and reduce tensions. It makes a great air freshener and helps eliminate the toxins in the air, and serves to combat the effects of colds and the flu. Also available: Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil.

Eucalyptus Oil Benefits

Nervous System: Helps with headaches, physical fatigue, mental fatigue/concentration, low energy, neuralgia, sciatica.
Skin Care: Antiseptic properties make it good for treating foot odour, athlete's foot and insect bites. Also repels insects and relieves insect bites. Helps control acne, relieve sunburns, and oily skin. Avoid use on sensitive or damaged skin.
Hair Care: Helps control dandruff, oily hair, and prevent hair loss and lice infection.
Respiratory System: Sinus problems, asthma, allergies/hay fever, bronchitis, catarrh, coughs, sore throat and mouth infections, myxovirus, colds/flu/fever- best for viral or bacterial infections.*
Endocrine System: Helps provide balance.  
Circulatory System: Helps treat arthritis, muscle soreness, joint sprains/strains, hemorrhoids/varicose veins, inflammation. Also boots immune system.

*Note: Eucalyptus Radiata is generally recommended over Eucalyptus Globulus for bacterial infections, as an anti-viral, and for long term use for chronic respiratory conditions.

Eucalyptus Oil Use - Directions

To create your own custom wellness, bath and body products, choose any of Escents' unscented products and add 10-20 drops per 30ml or 1oz of product. You can also add 5-8 drops in an aromatherapy diffuser so you can breathe in its therapeutic benefits.

Do not take internally; keep away from eyes. Use sparingly. Keep away from children. If irritation develops, discontinue use.
