Treating Acne with Essential Oils & Other Products Essential oils or products containing essential oils can be helpful for treating acne. Essential oils have anti-septic, anti-bacterial, and skin healing properties that help get rid of and prevent acne. When combined with an appropriately chosen skin care regimen, essential oils can be an effective way of controlling acne.
Skin Care for Acne
Treating Existing Acne using Essential Oils
Our Blemish B’gone Acne Treatment Gel contains a powerful combination of tea tree oil and lavender oil, blended in a base of healing comfrey gel. Alternatively, either tea tree or lavender can be used directly on skin to help treat acne. A drop or two on affected areas is enough to do the trick. Other essential oils that can help when diluted in a good carrier like comfrey gel include: rosemary, bergamot, cypress, cedarwood, geranium, juniper berry, lime, niaouli, patchouli, rosewood, eucalyptus, rose, peppermint, grapefruit, clary sage, ylang ylang, and spearmint. Do not pick at or squeeze your acne! This can spread the bacteria and increases the chance of scarring.
